OFFICIAL| Fan-Favourite Midfielder Remains At Naturena - Details

Kaizer Chiefs midfielder Sibongiseni Mthethwa's future at the club was uncertain earlier this season. In September, reports suggested that he was not in coach Nasreddine Nabi's plans and could have left on loan, with both Stellenbosch FC and AmaZulu reportedly turning down the opportunity to sign him.

However, Mthethwa's fortunes have taken a positive turn in recent weeks. The 29-year-old midfielder earned unexpected starts in two key matches against Richards Bay and Royal AM. His performances in these games have caught the attention of coach Nabi, who praised Mthethwa for working hard to improve his game.

Nabi commented, “I think this time ‘Ox’ understands his role. We worked together on his negative points... he worked hard to improve them. If he continues to work hard, he will progress. He took his chance and worked for it. I congratulate Ox for his performance.” This newfound confidence and commitment from Mthethwa seem to have saved his career at Naturena, as he now has a more prominent role in the squad.  In Kaizer Chiefs’ recent 2-2 draw against Royal AM, the team squandered a 2-0 lead, with the match ending in a disappointing draw. Despite the setback, coach Nabi and his squad are looking forward to the next challenge. The Glamour Boys will travel to Limpopo to face Polokwane City on Sunday, 8 December, at 15:30 in their next Betway Premiership fixture. Mthethwa will likely be looking to continue his positive momentum in the match
